-The purpose of this visit is to introduce the new project management to national partners, strengthen organisational relations and trust after a longer break in the project work. In addition, it is essential to be informed about other ongoing projects, including activities led by FAO (the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations), to explore opportunities for collaboration between complementary projects, says team leader Edgar Brun.
Among partners in the project are the Central Veterinary Laboratory (CVL), Public Health Institute Malawi (PHIM) and Trustees of Agricultural Promotion Programme (TAPP).
The Norwegian Veterinary Institute has an active project team that, among other things, aims to contribute to knowledge building and increased use of local knowledge.

The project seeks to strengthen collaboration across sectors, and through better surveillance, diagnostics, and veterinary services, it will contribute to safer food, improved health, and economic growth, primarily in the dairy sector in Malawi, Ethiopia, and Tanzania.
